There’s something cool about this picture. I suppose I like the chiaroscuro and the splash of pink of the flower. Something about it annoys me too, though. Can’t put my finger on it.

I went through a doodling period where I would draw precisely this sort of image. Half a face, just the features. It still appeals to me, and Hepburn is the perfect model for it.
