There’s a new remix and video up for Knuxx’s single, Stan Howse. The remix plays it very straight, slowed down and downbeat, with washy synths and harp-like glissandos. The video features Knuxx and friends drinking with vaguely grotesque masks on, a perfect surreal complement to the tune. Now if only I could buy a digital copy of the Dying Slow EP…

The title track from Knuxx’s forthcoming EP now has a video. Sepia and desaturated, it cuts leisurely between a woman walking through a forest and Knuxx chilling out in what could be a droog hangout. As the video progresses, a dark fluid begins to drip from the furnishings and Louis’ mouth, until by the end he looks like the victim of some mad Victorian slasher. The addition of some closeup shots of rosary beads completes a simple but effective complement to the tune.

The beat was produced by nettsmoney and features Abimbola Fernandez on the backing vocals. My bro, Young Lean, recorded and mixed the thing at Crystal Mastering. I’m looking forward to hearing the full album!
